As part of the Dortmund Science Night on September 27, 2024, the coordination office of "Agricultural Systems of the Future" offered insights into the research of the eight projects funded under the BMBF programme through an interactive presentation. Dr. Rebecca Klopsch, project manager at the Leibniz Institute of Vegetable and Ornamental Crops (IGZ), captivated the audience during the Science Slam and won first place with her contribution.

The Dortmund Science Night debuted on September 27, with over 40 partner institutions, including universities, research institutes, and educational organizations, offering a diverse programme of lectures, interactive activities, and excursions. The IGZ, together with the Institute for Regional and Urban Development Research (ILS), was present at the event, showcasing the research of "Agricultural Systems of the Future" in the foyer of the Dortmunder U.

Particular attention was drawn to the multitouch table, where visitors could interactively learn about the eight innovative agricultural research projects and engage directly with the coordination office team. The Science Slam also generated great excitement. Under the title "From Field to Stage: Science Communication for Sustainable Agriculture," Dr. Rebecca Klopsch provided insights into the research of "Agricultural Systems of the Future." Her contribution was followed with great interest by the audience and ultimately won first place.

The Science Night was part of the "Digital Week Dortmund #diwodo," which took place from September 23 to 28, 2024. The video of the award-winning Science Slam can be found HERE (German).
