Research shapes the future: IGZ celebrates 100 years of horticultural research at its Großbeeren site

The Leibniz Institute of Vegetable and Ornamental Crops (IGZ) celebrated the 100th anniversary of the Großbeeren horticultural research site with a ceremony today. Around 150 participants – including representatives from state and federal politics, science and horticultural practice, as well as employees of the institute – came together under the motto ‘Research grows the future – for sustainable and resilient agricultural and food systems in horticulture’. The IGZ highlighted its eventful history and looked ahead to future prospects for the research institute.
