2nd place for the IGZ in the STADTRADELN cycle challenge in Großbeeren

Sustainability isn’t just about what happens in the research laboratory or the greenhouse – it’s also about the journey to work. From 23 May to 12 June, 35 colleagues took part in the ‘PedalPlants’ team at the STADTRADELN event in Großbeeren. Together, they covered 8,795 kilometres, thereby avoiding around 1,442 kilograms of CO₂. In the team rankings, the IGZ thus defended its 2nd place in the municipality for the fourth year running.

At the awards ceremony held as part of the Großbeerener Historical Victory Celebration on 22 August, Prof. Dr Nicole van Dam, together with Sophie Schmidt, accepted the prize on behalf of the IGZ. The award was presented by Großbeerens’ mayor, Martin Wonneberger.
